I've used all four inputs now and then, but I could survive on two. If I go that route, though, I'd love to get an interface with audio and MIDI, since I'm also stuck using a parallel-port MOTU midi interface that hates Linux to a degree. It's also got a scratchy output jack (though maybe DeOxit will help there). It's the bigger problem, since it's a full-sized PCI card and requires me to run a much older PC than I'd like. Hence the mixer.Īfter some reading, I'm going to try a cleaning up the mixer with some DeOxit and work on finding a good deal on a used interface. Thanks I was starting to lean to the same conclusion, and I think the 16bit/44.1kHz thing put the nail in the coffin.
